I made a SPL token on Solana

I've been watching Pump.fun from a distance for a while, mostly out of curiosity. It's new token platform on Solana that lets you mint an SPL token in like 15 seconds. No code needed or anything. Pretty cool.

So I launched one. Literally just to see how it works.

The token 8WQyeUMjVkkmpG4p2VWP3oqUJBsDGnWukKqu6vBQpump. No utility. No marketing. No plan. I just picked a name, hit "mint," and it went live. It felt wrong how easy it was.

It hasn't done much of anything since I minted. But nonetheless pretty cool platform.

This whole system feels like a stress test for token culture. There's no barrier anymore. Making a token used to require a team, a dev, a pitch deck. Now it takes a keyboard and a bad idea.

I don't think this ends well. But it's fascinating to watch.
