The Markdown Cult

I still write everything in Markdown. Blog posts, notes, outlines, docs. I've tried Notion, Obsidian, Roam, whatever the flavor of the week is. I always come back to plain .md files.

It just works. You open a folder and it's all there. Portable. Greppable. Git-friendly. No UI to break.

I think the real reason devs love Markdown is because it respects them. It doesn't get in the way. It just lets you write.
