I Accidentally Left a Localhost App Running for a Month

I found out last week I had a Flask app running on a local port for literally 32 days. I'd started building something, got distracted, closed the browser tab but never killed the terminal.

It just sat there. Consuming nothing. Doing nothing. Logging nothing. Just alive. Quietly.

We talk about software being alive or dead, but that thing felt undead. Like a digital ghost I forgot to bury. Spooky.
